The team’s official website reported Wednesday that Clarkson “will be sidelined four to six weeks due to a torn oblique muscle suffered in Tuesday night’s game against the Washington Capitals, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.”
Aaron Portzline of the Columbus Dispatch reported that Clarkson suffered the injury in his Blue Jackets debut on Feb. 28 and played through the pain until it became too much.

Vancouver Canucks forward Henrik Sedin tallied his 900th career point during Tuesday’s 6-2 loss to the San Jose Sharks, making him the fourth Swedish-born player to hit that milestone, per Sportsnet Stats.
Also the Canucks’ all-time leader in points, Sedin reached 900 in impressive fashion, scoring a second-period, power-play goal that trimmed San Jose’s lead to 3-1.
Later in the same period, Sedin added an even-strength goal, cutting the lead to 3-2 with the 901st point of his career.
While the Sharks would then close things out by scoring the game’s final three goals, Sedin at least gave his squad a fighting chance…

Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price took the loss in Monday’s 4-0 defeat at the hands of the San Jose Sharks, ending a 10-game road winning streak that tied for the second-longest of its kind in NHL history, per Sportsnet Stats.
Price and the Habs never stood much of a chance in the surprising blowout, as the Sharks jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period and never looked back.
